Description
Advanced Corset Camp Intensive!
Corset pattern drafting, construction, and advanced corset techniques in one intensive class.
Learn to take a corset design from your sketch to bespoke pattern, to finished piece! In this class, Dianna will teach you how to assess the best type of corset pattern to draft for your body and your design idea, and take you through drafting your bespoke corset from your measurements. You will create a mock-up, correct the pattern and use this to build your own lined over the bust corset.
You will then learn how to take this pattern and cut your fashion fabric, coutil and linings, sew your corset, with bone channels, cut bones, insert a busk closure, and expertly finish your corset. Classes are semi-private, so you will work directly with Dianna to learn the techniques she uses in her bespoke corsetry, in a fun, relaxed environment. Basic sewing experience is required to fully benefit from the class.
This course is perfect for costumers, students, and dressmakers who would like a better understanding of how to create a historical corset, and have the benefit of a semi-private lesson with a maximum of thee students. Students must be experienced using a sewing machine, and working with patterns.
Advanced corset camp is three consecutive Sundays, from 10-7, with snacks, lunch, and unlimited tea & espresso included.
Included in your class are materials to draft your bespoke pattern, and create your very own custom corset!

Steel bones and tips.

Other take-home goodies to help you create your own corsets at home!
